GREAT SCOTT! Is Nike Playing With Us, Or Will We Actually See The Marty Mcfly?

If there was one Nike shoe that I have wanted since I was a kid, it would have to be Nike’s Air Mag worn by Michael J Fox in Back To The Future. However, I had given up hope and figured that I would not get a chance to see them until 2015, if at all. However, as the year gets closer, things are starting to pop up that give me a little bit of hope that they will be released. One such thing is this patent application for a shoe with an automatic lacing system. Now while this is by no means a clear sign of the Nike Air Mag actually being released, it does put a little hope in my heart that it will. Check out some details from the application below, or flash back with us and check out the McFly version of the Hypderdunk.

Air Jordan 6 – White / Blue – Varisty Red

Jordan Brand is releasing yet another way of the Air Jordan 6 and if you weren’t into any of the previous releases (which is utterly impossible) this one may be a little more up your alley.
This time around the shoes have a white tumbled leather base with smooth leather on the toe and side panel. The complimenting colors fall in place on the lining midsole and while they are pretty subtle the Blue, Grey and Varsity Red accents are definitely a breath of fresh air. No word on release date but we will keep you in the loop as far as that goes. Via Modern-Notoriety

Jordan Melo M7 – Nuggets “Home” Colorway

As the new NBA season nears, Carmelo Anthony will have a chance to start the season fresh and work toward grabbing that NBA championship. While he does it, he will be rocking these Jordan Melo M7′s at al of his Home games. They boast a White/Metallic Silver-University Blue-Maize colorway over a mostly patent leather upper. White sits on most of the upper with slight hints of maize in the side panels, and university blue on the liner and tongue. The Jumpman enjoys an exclusive in the metallic silver category, while the university blue returns for the outsole. Stay tuned and we will update you a more information becomes available.

Nike SB Dunk Mid Pro “Street Fighter” Ryu Detailed Photos

We found out about the Street Fighter Dunk a few weeks ago and even got to get a glance at Chun-Li’s kick. Today we finally get a look at a few detailed shots of the Ryu themed sneaker.
The strapless mid is already off to a unique start if you are an enthusiast of the brand. Tan canvas and nubuck along the upper serves as a base while the swoosh is done in red denim to match the outsole. A black suede heel and ankle ties the design together by serving to represent Ryu’s belt. The whole thing is done with frayed edges to make a very cool tribute. Via Kicks-Crew

Making about $1 Million dollars less than last year and making $5 Million in the last 12 months, Forbes names Rick Ross among one of hip-hop’s highest paid participants with their newly released annual Hip Hop Cash Kings list. Ross came in at #20, but coincently shared his spot with Gucci Mane and Lil Jon who also made $5 Million this past year. Below is the complete list. Miami Dolphins unveil plans to open a waterpark across the street from Sun Life Stadium

(PremierGuideMiami) – At a press conference at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Dolphins owner and real estate developer Steve Ross’s plan to build a multimillion dollar water park across the street from Sun Life Stadium will be unveiled. The park will become a regional entertainment destination and provide a significant boost to South Florida’s all-important tourism based economy.
The water park will be developed on a 39.9 acre parking lot across the street from Sun Life Stadium and will have direct access to Florida’s Turnpike. The land is co-owned by Ross and the team’s limited partners and H. Wayne Huizenga. Ross is working with the Neuman Group, a world renowned aquatic destination planning and construction firm specializing in multi-generational, family-oriented parks, and the Rockwell Group, an internationally acclaimed architecture and design firm specializing in hospitality, cultural, healthcare, educational, product, theater and film design. Palace Entertainment, the largest operator of water parks and family entertainment centers in the nation, is also working on the exciting project. With 19.9 acres of activation space and up to 16 attractions, the park will take approximately two years to design, permit and construct. The park is planned to open in 2012 around the time the Florida Marlins move to their new ballpark.
“Steve Ross is committed to making the stadium and the adjacent area a year round South Florida destination that attracts tourists and visitors to this region,” says Dolphins CEO Mike Dee. “With baseball departing at the end of the 2011 season, we have a great opportunity to create another family-friendly amenity that will also create jobs and economic growth for the region.”
“For more than a year, we have had a healthy dialogue with the Miami Dolphins organization to explore how their facility can work with Miami Gardens, and I’m very happy that we will be at the table,” said Mayor Shirley Gibson. “Since the roadways and other heavy infrastructure already exist, we are now focusing our energy to see that other impacts do not burden nearby residents. We see great opportunity for jobs at all levels and for wholesome entertainment for our families.”
The water park plans call for a surf zone, a children’s area, beach and board walk with double wave pools more than 20,000 in square feet, a lazy river island, snorkel pool, tube slides, uphill coaster slide and a leisure lagoon with a swim-out bar. Patrons will also enjoy a zip line 630 feet long, family raft ride, interactive play area and a speed slide.
Preliminary economic studies indicate that the park will create over 600 direct and indirect construction jobs along with an additional 400 direct and indirect jobs from the water park operation and longer tourism stays. The project is also expected to contribute nearly $7 million paid to local, state and county in additional local tax revenues. The Dolphins expect the park to not only serve the residents throughout South Florida but also the more than 10 million tourists who visit the region. In addition, the park will help draw some of those who visit Orlando’s attractions for a side trip to the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area. Early estimates predict nearly 700,000 visitors will attend the water park in year one and grow to 800,000 by the third year of operation.
The design of the park will also include water and energy conservation through the reuse of water and state-of-the-art eco-friendly engineering.

September 18 – Ludacris & Rick Ross Concert @ James L. Knight Center

Lebron James covers GQ Magazine

Its still gonna take some getting used to saying “Lebron James of The Miami Heat”, but yeah….Lebron James of the Miami Heat appears on the latesy issue of GQ magazine (the September issue). And he talks a little bit about Charles Barkley, his sense of style, his kids and much more. Read a few of the quotes below…

On Dan Gilbert:
“I don’t think he ever cared about LeBron. My mother always told me: ‘You will see the light of people when they hit adversity. You’ll get a good sense of their character.’ Me and my family have seen the character of that man.”

On Charles Barkley:
Charles was probably trying to be funny. It wasn’t funny to me.

On If He’d Return To Cleveland:
If there was an opportunity for me to return and those fans welcome me back, that’d be a great story.… Maybe the ones burning my jersey were never LeBron fans anyway.”

Lebron on Staying Humble:
That’s what keeps me humble, because I know my background, know what my mother went through. I never get too high on my stardom or what I can do. My mom always says, and my friends say, ‘You’re just a very low-maintenance guy.’”

Cool & Dre Join Cash Money

One of the biggest production groups in the game have decided to join up with Weezy’s empire. I don’t really know what the significance of this is for the average listener, as I am sure they will still help other artists outside of the label as well. They announced the news via Twitter.

Air Jordan 1 Stealth Graphite Available Now

First spotted back in June, the Air Jordan 1 in a Stealth Graphite colorway has started to pop up at select shops.
The new Air Jordan 1 features many of the design elements of the original, but has a few subtle adjustments and technological advancements. The outsole received the biggest upgrade and now contains a full air zoom insole. Additional updates include a thicker midsole, minimal stitching on the outsole, cushioned lining around the ankles, and a perforated toe-box and side panels. This model in particular sports an upper that goes from light grey to stealth graphite, with white laces that match the white outsole. They are available now at Kickzstore.

Custom: ColorChange Cell Dunk By Mizzeecustoms

Inspiration for customer sneakers come from many different places. For this pair of Nike Dunk Mids, Mizzeecustoms looked no further than a cartoon Character that many of us watched growing up, Cell from Dragonball Z.
The sneakers feature a two-tone safari-like print that match Cell’s suit from the cartoon. The toe box is laced with grey suede, while the side panels are constructed of black leather. Mizzeecustoms also wanted to give the Nike Swoosh a unique look by incorporating a color changing pebbled leather that transitions from purple to green. If you like what you see, hop over to his website to see a few more customizations.

Air Jordan XIII (13) Retro – “Flint” (New Detailed Images)

We reported the early release of the Air Jordan XIII Retro “Flint” at a few locations last week, and it appears that a few of you picked up a pair some very detailed images have begun to pop up. Looking identical to the original, this sneaker is sure to cause quite a stir when it fully hits retail.
Known as ‘Flint”, the official colorway is French Blue/University Blue-Flint Grey-White. The shoe features flint grey, white, and french blue on an upper that is mixed with 3M, leather, and nubuck. The flint grey takes hold of the mudguard and the ankle areas surrounding the Jumpman, as well as on the midsole. The 3M pops up on the quarter panel and is decorated in the aforementioned french blue. Finally, white leather covers the forefront and the remaining midsole. Look for a full release this holiday season.
