RoyaleFam SBTG Premium Memphis Belle

This is the second time in as many days that we see a sneaker inspired by war. Singapore-base design virtuoso SBTG has released the Memphis Belle, an ode to the B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber from World War II.
The entire upper of the shoe is designed to look like the body and wings of the original Memphis Belle. From the high heels shoes to the camo side panels, to the menacing grill on the front, SBTG did a wonderful job recreating the airplane on a shoe. There are even printed bullet holes to emphasis the war in which the Memphis Belle participated. The Memphis Belle from SBTG Premium is now available in very limited quantity at RoyaleFam’s online store.

Duke Wins 2010 NCAA Championship; Beats Butler 61-59 ‎

Video After The Jump...

INDIANAPOLIS -- Duke won its fourth national championship Monday night, forcing Butler's Gordon Hayward to miss with 4 seconds left to hold off the Bulldogs 61-59 and end the tiny school's run at the title one game short of the perfect ending.

Kyle Singler had 19 for the Blue Devils and Brian Zoubek rebounded Hayward's miss and hit one free throw with 3.6 seconds left to give Duke a two-point lead.

Hayward rebounded Zoubek's intentional miss and threw up a desperation heave at the buzzer that hit glass, bounced off the rim and out.

The win gave Mike Krzyzewski his first national title since 2001 and fourth overall, tying him with Adolph Rupp for second on the all-time list.

Marley son remembers `Dad’

(Miami Herald) – Grammy-nominated reggae artist Ky-Mani Marley — son of musical and social icon Bob Marley — launches a surprising 16-city book tour for his autobiography Thursday in Miami.
Earlier this year, Marley distanced himself from the book, accusing the publisher, Farrah Gray Publishing, of distorting his story and even threatened a lawsuit.
Dear Dad: Where’s the Family In Our Family, Today? chronicles Marley’s life: born from an extramarital affair, he was raised by a single mother in a grindingly poor Miami neighborhood without financial support from the Marley family after his father died. He later turned to peddling drugs before before launching a successful music career.
The first copies of the book, released Feb. 6 to mark what would have been Bob Marley’s 65th birthday, included a teaser on the bottom of the cover reading The Story The Marley Family Apparently Doesn’t Want You To Know.
Ky-Mani and Gray have since made amends and the teaser was removed. The book is now called Dear Dad. “I stand behind the content of my book Dear Dad 100 percent,” Marley said in a statement. “My story is `my story’ and I don’t deny who I am or my experiences. My issue was with the subtitle only.”
Marley appears at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Barnes & Noble in Kendall Village West, 12405 N. Kendall Dr. The singer will read passages, sign books and perform his single, Dear Dad. This event is free to the public.

McNabb traded to Redskins for second-round and conditional pick

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports that the Redskins acquire Donovan McNabb from Eagles for 37th overall pick and an additional third or fourth round pick depending on performance, according to a league source.
"Donovan McNabb was more than a franchise quarterback for this team," said Eagles Chairman Jeffrey Lurie. "He truly embodied all of the attributes of a great quarterback and of a great person. He has been an excellent representative of this organization and the entire National Football League both on and off the field. I look forward to honoring him as of the greatest Eagles of all-time and hopefully see in enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton one day. I wish Donovan and his beautiful family great health and joy for many, many years to come."
"This was a very tough decision," said head coach Andy Reid. "Donovan McNabb represented everything a football player could be during his 11 seasons in Philadelphia. He carried this organization to new heights and set a high standard of excellence both on and off the field. We thank him for everything he did for this football team and for this city."
"Donovan is the ultimate professional," said Eagles president Joe Banner. "He has an incredible work ethic and has been an integral part of our success. Over the years, Donovan has always carried himself with a great deal of dignity. He's an excellent role model for young men and women from across the region. In my mind, he'll always be remembered as one of the greatest Eagles of all time."
Eagles general manager Howie Roseman: "Donovan is clearly one of the all-time greatest Eagles and he represented this team and this city with class over the last 11 years. Certainly a deal of his magnitude took a lot of time and effort to accomplish and it was certainly a tough decision to make in the end. We wish he and his family all the best."
With the acquisition of Washington's 2nd round draft pick this year, the Eagles now have 11 total selections in this year's draft: 1st round (24th overall), 2nd round (37, from Washington), 2nd round (55), 3rd round (70, from Seattle), 3rd round (87), 4th round (105, from Cleveland), 4th round (121), 5th round (137, from Cleveland), 6th round (200, from Indianapolis), 7th round (243, compensatory pick), and 7th round (244, compensatory pick).'
McNabb, the Eagles first round draft pick in 1999, earned six Pro Bowl selections as an Eagle and finished as the franchise's all-time leader in passing yards, touchdown passes, pass attempts, and completions.
