Legendary singer Teena Marie passes away – was supposed to perform for NYE this Friday in Miami
Legendary singer Teena Marie has passed away at the age of 54. You may remember her for songs like “Square Biz” and her relationship with Rick James. She died in her sleep yesterday December 26, 2010 in her home and was discovered by her 19 year old daughter. This comes after they spent a very joyous Christmas holiday together, so its a bit of a shock.
Not only that, but Teena was supposed to perform in Miami this Friday with Maze featuring Frankie Beverly at the James L. Knight Center. No word on the status of the concert.
Condolences to the family and those who knew her personally.
